About
The history of the park begins in 1936, when a nursery for the railway was set up in its place – not only trees, but also shrubs, annual and perennial flowers were grown here.
Thuja, larch, and even birch trees were grown to maintain the forest belts. Pears, cherries, apple trees and other fruit trees were planted on one of the alleys for the townspeople.
In the 70s, planting material was no longer grown and the alley of heroes appeared on the territory of the park, with a large flower bed in the center. Later, the park gets a new name – the Volodya Ulyanov Children's Park, but the name does not take root.
The first rides appear, boat swings, children's carousels, and a recreation in our days in the park named after him.Oleg Stepanov, the UID site. In 1983, the Ferris wheel appeared.
Currently, the Nursery Park is a family attraction center for the townspeople. The park has a well-developed amusement park infrastructure, an alley, playgrounds and sports fields. Next to the fountain is the famous squirrel cage, where you can feed fluffy animals by hand. There are mass events for the whole family in the park, and a stage is provided for this.
Despite the fact that the nursery has stopped working, many plants have been preserved and have become part of the park landscape. Here you can meet:
century-old lime trees;
oak trees planted in the 1940s and 1950s;
rare types of shrubs for the region;
flower beds with perennials inherited from the nursery.
